Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation will be hosting the 2nd edition of Majhi International Art Residency Program in Berlin this year. While the first edition of the program was held in Venice, Italy, in the summer of 2019, the second edition will take place between August 24th and September 13th 2020 in Berlin.
Majhi International Art Residency Program is created by Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation (DBF) to be a 10-year-long project with annual editions. In tune with DBF’s mission, the Majhi event intends to value and acknowledge artists from Asia and the global South, as well as to promote cultural exchange between East and West. Therefore, the residency editions foresee a varied and multicultural selection of artists.
An exhibition will present the artworks resulted from the residency between the 10th and the 12th of September, 2020. The schedule has been carefully chosen, overlaps with the Gallery Weekend and the Berlin Art Week events.
