On March 6, 2022, DBF supports PNEUMA: IS LANGUAGE ENOUGH? – a public INVOCATIONS programme accompanying the exhibition THE WIND IN YOUR BODY IS JUST VISITING, YOUR BREATH WILL SOON BE THUNDER, artist Pallavi Paul’s first solo-exhibition in Berlin, newly commissioned by SAVVY Contemporary and shown in the framework of Berlinale’s Forum Expanded 2022. The INVOCATIONS’ aim is to expand the discourse on the intertwined strands from history, language, philosophy, medicine and meditation practices evoked in the exhibition to present the entanglement of breath with the world of its making. Curated by Natasha Ginwala, Hajra Haider Karrar, Laura Kloeckner, Abhishek Kloeckner, with the Artistic Direction of Elena Agudio, the programme includes Kaushik Bhaumik, Denise Ferreira da Silva, Gautam Bhatia, Omar Kasmani, Arjuna Neuman, Pallavi Paul, Mohammad Raees, Nisha Ramayya, Nasima Selim, Raed Yassin, and more.
